Deputy Consul General Rakesh Adlakha Honored in Los Angeles as Indian Consulate Prepares New Office

Los Angeles, CA – Southern California’s vibrant Indian American community, many of whom have called the region home for over 40 years, gathered for a special luncheon to honor Deputy Consul General (Dy. CG) of India in San Francisco, Rakesh Adlakha.

The luncheon, held at The Cake Korner Banquet in Artesia, brought together leading executives from several Indian American associations. Attendees praised the Deputy Consul General for his approachable nature and dedication to serving the community, particularly in matters of visa services.

Adlakha, who oversees the Southern California region, shared updates on consular services and reaffirmed the Consulate’s commitment to being available for the community 24/7.

Excitement is building as the Indian Consulate’s Los Angeles office has officially signed its lease and is preparing to launch operations soon. Attendees expressed that they will miss Dy. CG Adlakha’s frequent presence in Los Angeles once a new Consul General is appointed for the LA office.

In recognition of his service, Artesia City Councilwoman Zeal Ahir presented a proclamation to Mr. Adlakha, along with a joint proclamation from all the participating associations.

The luncheon was graciously hosted by Falguniba & Kanaksihn Zala, Sunil Agarwal, and Gaurav Bhargav, marking a memorable afternoon of community bonding and gratitude.
