Hicksville, NY – August 24, 2025: The 14th annual India Day Parade, organized by the India Day Parade USA (IDP USA) in collaboration with the Indian-American community, brought together more than 15,000 attendees for a vibrant celebration of Indian culture, heritage, and patriotism.
The parade, which honors the sacrifices of India’s martyrs and salutes the bravery of soldiers safeguarding the nation, also highlighted the contributions of Indian-Americans to the United States.
The colorful procession commenced at Patel Brothers in Hicksville, led by IDP Founder Dr. Bobby Kalotee, IDP Presidents Mr. Deepak Bansal and Mr. Vimal Goyal, and Grand Marshal Hon. Binaya Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York. Distinguished guests included Bollywood actress Bhagyashree, BJP General Secretary Hon. Tarun Chugh, BJP leader Amit Taneja, Nassau County Executive Hon. Bruce Blakeman, Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Hon. Joseph Saladino, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jen DeSena, Town Clerk of North Hempstead Mrs. Ragini Srivastava, and other state, county, and town officials.
The parade also honored community leaders and contributors, including Rena Malik, Harry Singh Bolla (Bolla Market), Naveen Shah (Navika Capital), Ravi Chopra & Yuvi Chopra (STI Consultants), Nitin Garg, Rekha Chichara, Pradeep Tandon, Dr. Kush Grover, Dr. Arti Datta, Sanjay Patel, Manhar Singh, and Ankush Batra.
Participants and spectators enjoyed dazzling floats, marching bands, cultural performances, and live music by Khuda Baksh, Rantik Bhai, and his team. Free food, special beverages, and ice cream were served throughout the parade route, enhancing the festive spirit.
Adding to the excitement, the event featured a raffle draw with numerous prizes, including a grand prize of a round-trip air ticket to India.
Expressing gratitude, IDP President Mr. Deepak Bansal said, “This event would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of our team, volunteers, and supporters. We are grateful for their contributions and commitment to our community.”
Co-President Mr. Vimal Goyal added, “The strong support of the community, with Tan Man and Dhan, has made this parade a great success year after year. Our volunteers are the true driving force behind this celebration.”
Special recognition was given to IDP Founder Dr. Bobby Kalotee, whose vision and dedication established the India Day Parade as a landmark event in the Indian-American community.
The parade concluded at East Barclay Street with an atmosphere of unity, patriotism, and celebration. The IDP committee extended heartfelt thanks to all participants, Grand Marshals, chief guests, honorees, government officials, sponsors, vendors, performers, photographers, and volunteers who made the 2025 India Day Parade a resounding success.
As Mr. Goyal affirmed, “You—the team—are the true patriots, Bharat Ma Ke Supoot. Jai Hind.”
