franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) appointed middle-order batter Rajat
Patidar as their new captain on Thursday, as reported by he Timesofindia.com
earlier.At the event to announced the new RCB captain, Patidar was presented
the blue blazer and red cap, with Andy Flower, Mo Bobat and Rajesh Menon on
stage alongside him.
Talking about Patidar's appointment, the franchise's COO,
Rajesh Menon, said: "It was a critical decision for the RCB. We have had
legends. This decision was not easy at all. It was deliberated internally and
externally. We feel the decision is good for the franchise - over the next
couple of years."

in becoming captain again, it was learnt that the RCB leadership spent
considerable time deliberating their options. Having opted not to acquire a
captain during last November's mega auction, they were compelled to identify a
