Bhubaneswar - Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday appealed that the country's raw materials should not be exported, and that only finished goods should be exported after processing them . He said that value addition of raw materials should be done in India itself. The Prime Minister inaugurated the 'Utkarsh Odisha, Make in Odisha Conclave' organized at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar.

He was speaking at the time. The Prime Minister clarified that Eastern India is the engine of the country's progress and Odisha plays an important role in it. "A large amount of minerals are mined in this part of the country and exported to other countries. There, it is value-added and finished goods are sent to India. I do not accept this," he said. Modi appealed to recognize the challenges facing the global supply chain in a changing world.

The country will not develop by exporting raw materials. Therefore, we are changing the entire system and working with a new approach. To reduce the impact of global fluctuations, we need to create strong supply and value chains within India. This is the responsibility of both the government and the industry. – Narendra Modi, Prime Minister
